I see future visits for me (perhaps always on Wednesdays for trivia). While I don't enjoy smoking areas, that's where-abouts the trivia is on Wednesdays (upstairs), so it's whatever. It's a bar area, so makes sense. All together, a pizza that fed two people comfortably, a (large) shot of tequila, 2 cocktails, and a Snakebite ran $35 (before tip). I don't think that's so bad since it was so much alcohol. Service 5/5: The server my sister and I had was fun and wasn't hovering over us, but she made appearances at the right times and gave us our bill and returned it in good fashion. The Joey (Hamburger, sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mozzarella & marinara sauce) 4/5: For $8.99, we got a rather good woodfire pizza that was enough to feed us both, but not overstuff. I suppose my only complaint would be that there was very little sauce and the sauce itself was a little bland. The cheese, crust, and meat were great, though! Snakebite (Guinness floated on cider) 5/5: I was somewhat hesitant to get this. THEN WHY GET IT? Because I decided to give it a second shot, since I'm much more into beer than the last time I had it! Verdict? I don't know what it is, but I loved this Snakebite. I thought the Guinness would be heavier and more bitter than it turned out to be, and it balanced well with the cider. Pim's Cup (basically gin, orange, cucumber, tonic(?), and ginger beer.) 3/5: Decent little drink for fairly cheap (about $6 I think, if not less). Stir it up yourself to mix the ginger beer in or you'll just get straight beer or straight gin. I really could have done without as much cucumber and orange as there was. Seeds, bleh. Tequila shot 5/5?: It was a well tequila shot, and it wasn't awful. So hurray? ALSO IT'S HUGE. Same price as shots pretty much anywhere else but about the size of 3 of normal ones.

I'm not the biggest fan of this place, especially when they have cover charges. I understand that they need to pay for the band, but they often have bands that really aren't very good who I certainly wouldn't ever pay to see. Just beware of this on the weekends! Anyway, I recently came here with a group of Yelpers for trivia night and it was a fun time. There were about a dozen teams playing and we ended up in 4th place so that was cool! From my past experiences their brews were just okay but they seem to have gotten better. The service was also better this time than I've had before so I was happy with that. I don't usually eat here but I tried Carly's bratwurst and it was good. I think there are some good offerings here but I've yet to be all that impressed. I haven't given up though because before my recent experience, I'd probably have given this place two or even one star but their credibility is slowly growing on me. I'd be back for another event in the future.

Belle Isle is undoubtedly one of our favorite hang out spots. They are a local brewery, we highly recommend the Fritz Mix and Oktoberfest brew during the season! They have good food, live music, trivia night, and brewery tours. You can stay entertained all night between pool, ski ball, shuffle board and darts. They post their events on belleislerestaurant.com . The bar is divey, casual, great for big groups and has a very laid back atmosphere. The pizzas are delicious, and the rest of the food is pretty good--the desserts are surprisingly tasty! The only reason I'm not giving it a full five star is because the bar itself is half smoking, half non-smoking, (the downstairs restaurant is completely non-smoking). There have a been a few nights at the bar where even the non-smoking side it has been smoke-heavy, and I'm not a fan of that. In my ideal world, it would be completely non-smoking, I would also take closing off the smoking room--however, it is one open space, which makes it difficult to divide the preferences. Otherwise, great local spot, I feel like a good night is almost alway guaranteed here!

The beers are wonderful! Unfortunately the menu is lacking, probably with too many choices to deliver fresh food well. It is a roll of a dice. I enjoy the pizzas or have them turn it into a calzone (doesn't appear on the menu but they can do it). Also there is no comprehensive way to train their servers and so some are good and some are atrocious. Upstairs is more of a smokey bar with pool tables and a cavern of space, good on game day.

Regular customers due to trivia on Wednesday nights. The place is nice, it has plenty of TV's full bar and restaurant. The food is good I recommend the burgers and sandwiches. I've tried the Alfredo pasta and it was not good. Their mexican food is decent. I guess my major complaint is that they allow smokers but is I guess it's normal in OKC.

Belle Isle has some of the best happy hour specials around town. With a bar and a restaurant you can sit in smoking or non smoking, and easily have plenty to do. I usually sit in the restaurant's bar for happy hour with a large group because it's non smoking and pretty quiet. Plus Chris is a great bartender, and will make sure you're well taken care of! They also have trivia on Wednesday nights in the upstairs bar, which is a little more crowded by the time trivia starts at 7:30. As for their food, they have good burgers, and good pasta. However their mexican dishes like their enchiladas are surprisingly very good. Also always order a beer muffin! You can't miss out on these. They are made with their own amber ale. All in all, this is a place I frequent, mostly for happy hours, but also because I get cravings for those delicious beer muffins ever time I order an amber ale.

I've been here a couple times for happy hours and to watch games, and it's a decent place and not too far from my house. Decent selection of beer, and the Belle Isle brews are not bad. I've had the blonde and the Hefeweizen. As far as food goes, I've only had their soft pretzel app, but people I've been with have had the queso and cheese fries. From what I gather, it's decent bar food. Not out of this world, but good with a beer and a football game.

Bar review here! What prompted me to finish composing this was my last visit. I really applaud the servers for enduring with all the B.S. If you've ever been a server then you know what I'm talkin' bout... The server (she has reddish/brown hair and petite) we had at trivia night was wonderful. She constantly checked in and had our food and beverages out fairly quickly. Carly N. later told me that she's one of the best. On Saturday, our server (darker brown hair with bangs) had a 4 top walk out on a $145+ bill which would be taken out of her tab at the end of the night. Not cool! It all happened within a millisecond too so... Those jerks have some karma coming back at them. Pros: -Plenty of TV's to watch your sport o' choice. -Lots of room -1 pool table, 1 shuffle board and 3 dart boards. -Food? Sports bar food. I've had the chicken strips with chips and hummus w/ pita and veggies. -Catering is pretty solid. Highly suggest ordering from them at least once! Cons: -Beer: Since they brew in house, it's 3.2 beer. I don't know how I'll ever get used to that. One side of the bar is for smokers (closest to the stage) and the other side is for non-smokers. The air quality is still a little musty and reminds me of the older casinos in Vegas. Conclusion? Regardless, I've had some fun times here on different occasions and would opt to eat at the restaurant downstairs one day.

In the past I've never been someone to pick Belle Isle as our destination, I've just ended up there. I think that's all about to change. I went there with my lady friends yesterday evening (and the week before that.) The new renovation has really made me see Belle Isle in a much more comfortable pub-style rather than club-style kind of way. The space is much more open in the bar area then it ever was before and the big screen projector (if that's what you call it) makes it a good place to watch the basketball game when you can't make it to Thunder Dome. I don't remember even liking the beer at Belle Isle much before, but the Amber on tap was pretty tasty and for a $1.75 it's hard to complain. I've always liked there pizza's but it's been awhile since I've eaten there. I'll warn you though we picked a table right by the speaker and ended up regretting it, I mean I can get behind some Led Zeppelin now and then but I felt like Robert Plant and Jimmy Page were standing right beside me going "Ah yeah, ah yeah, ah, ah, ah" which is kind of creepy, but it didn't stop me from talking about puppies, basketball players and podcasts with my gal pals (that's what we talk about fellas.)

The main reason I like this place is the beer. It's a microbrewery, so they make their own. I like the stout and the amber. The last time I was there, they had this brown americano beer that was pretty good. It's cheap, and gets the job done. The food is okay, but nothing to rave about. It's a pretty good atmosphere, though.

Went in for lunch today. The bartender gave me a menu and went outside with her boyfriend and never came back. 25 min later I just left. Very unprofessional. Won't be back.

Local brewery/pub with a really great happy hour and plenty of bar games to keep you busy. Mon-fri they have $1.75 pints and half priced appetizers. The staff is friendly and the pool tables are very well kept. They also provide shuffle board, free but in bingo on Tues, and Trivia on Thur.

My favorite thing at Belle Isle is the chicken tenders. They have decent pizza, enchiladas, and really tasty sammiches and burgers tho too. I am a smoker and the bar upstairs is half smoking half non-smoking. This is one of the last and best places to get a decent meal in OKC and also have a cigarette. If you're looking for a tasty place to eat, smoker friendly or no, this place has got it all. They even make their own beer. Service is great and the atmosphere is good too.

Nice bar/venue. My first time here. Very spacious and lots of areas within this bar that are different. What I like most is that there is a full stage for the band. Not just a little corner they stick them in. Lots of TV's with sports on. Both smoking and nonsmoking areas The waitresses were very nice. Of course this is a brewery and we are enjoying some fresher brewed suds. Will I be back? ---------for sure.

My thoughts on the Belle Isle R&B are all over the damn place, honestly. Let's see if I can wing it and come up with a worthwhile review. Service: Has been completely hit or miss. Sometimes the service is excellent. Attentive without being overwhelming. Then there are times (like my last visit) where I watched our waitress play on her phone for 15 minutes before seeing if we needed anything. (The waitress and I had some very awkward staredowns during that 15 minutes.) Food: Meh. It's bar food. We've all had bar food. And most of us probably agree that it all taste just about the same. (A McNellie's, for example.) I will say that the Belle Isle R&B has some pretty decent pizza though. Drinks: The housemade beers were very subpar in the past, in my opinion. However, upon subsequent visits, it appeared that the house beers were starting to get better. Outside of the house beers, they have a full bar with a limited beer selection. Atmosphere: Once again...completely hit or miss. On trivia nights, the atmosphere is fantastic! Seriously, who doesn't love trivia?!? On other nights, it's just "meh." The place does have a bunch of TVs and even sets up a big screen for certain games. Overall, Belle Isle R&B isn't that bad, but it isn't that great either. I will come back, because I love trivia and their beer prices are reasonable.

Hi. I was at the Brewery on Jan 20, 2015. I had Martha as my waitress. She was very friendly, attentive and offered a good suggestion on the food menu. I got the fried green beans. They were tasty. It was my first time to visit the Brewery. Martha made my stay an enjoyable occasion. I will return and hope she is working that night. I really appreciate great service. Please pass along my thanks to her and I am glad I was there. Thank you.

This was my first trip to OKC and everyone suggested to eat here, and I'm so glad! Trevor was an awesome server, he suggested the classic chicken sandwich and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My friend and I had a pixie stick shot and it was really sweet but it wasn't bad! I'll definitely come back if I'm in OKC again!

Food is good, beer is pretty ok, service is horrible. Went to the bar on a Saturday night around 6:30. The place was empty. Ordered the beer sampler and really liked the hef. They also had an Octoberfest which made me think that they had some kegs sitting around since last September that they never sold, but that is only an assumption. I ordered some food and it took just over 30 minutes to get it (I used time stamps on text messages to determine the time). When I asked our cocktail waitress about the food, she didn't seem to care and simply said "they're really busy downstairs and walked away." I had no idea what that meant until someone else in my group explained that there's a restaurant downstairs. Regardless, 30 minutes is outrageous. In addition to that, our waitress was absent most of the night. We sat with empty drinks for quite a while. The waitress was kind enough to split the check for us without us asking, but we actually wanted everything on one check. She walked by and dropped the three checks off so fast that by the time I looked up to say we wanted it all on one check--she was already gone. We knew it'd take another 15 minutes for her to circle back around so we just each paid our own.

Came here to keep my friend company and watch a band that she knows. I hadn't been here in a few years, and this review is for the upstairs bar section (it had been years since I've been in the restaurant section). Fortunately they have a smoking and non smoking section. The non smoking section is still smokey, just not as bad as sitting right in with the smokers. Our server was fast and friendly, so no issues there. We came in from the main door on the west side, and there was security there to check ID and take cover charge. Our friend came up from downstairs and there was nobody to take cover charge. Wish I had known that! That would have been an extra drink! But the bar was so hot inside that I didn't even feel like drinking. We ordered fish and chips as well as the chicken tenders from the late night menu. It was cooked normally and tasted fine. Not anything special but not bad either.

This is a fun place to get together with friends for lunch or a cocktail after work. The appetizers and entrees are all delicious and the portions generous. Have you tasted their bacon...on anything? It is outrageously good and (consider yourself forewarned) addictive. The Cowboy Club is perfect. Great sides, especially the sweet potato fries. If you're a salad lover, try the Chicken Caesar or Santa Fe salad. Delish. No complaints at all about any of the waitstaff or bartenders. Their service is consistently friendly and prompt. One of our favorite activities at Belle Isle is playing bingo with Kody on Tuesday nights. You are guaranteed to have a good time with his banter and the great food, drinks and service. My only negative experience was on a call with "Cameron" recently for details about the live music for the following evening. He was so rude and unhelpful that we decided to go elsewhere. Not typical of the level of service we usually experience from the Belle Isle crew. We definitely will return for live music and bingo nights as well as an occasional lunch or cocktail after work.

Easily my favorite place in town to hangout over the past 2 years or so. Belle Isle offers great happy hour specials, black bean nachos($4) and an amber beer($1.75) are my typical selections. Happy Hour is 3.30pm to 6:30pm. There are a multitude of TV's and plenty of space to enjoy the Thunder, or whichever sporting event is on at the time, including a large projection screen Trivia Wednesdays is a lot of fun, including the DJ/Quiz Master. Quite frankly, there is nothing to dislike about this place.....Unless you're a bad person.

Great little family owned business. The service is good and the food is tasty but the beer selection isn't my favorite. However, any place with a garden burger is alright in my book and the beer muffins get 27 stars because they are delicious. I definitely like the restaurant part of Belle Isle much better than the bar. The bar is pretty gigantic yet still ridiculously smoky. I must also say that the service in the non-smoking restaurant is much better than in the upstairs bar. I recently had dinner here and the waitress came to the table a little too often. My buddy and I were trying to have a conversation and she kept interrupting. I guess I can't complain too much though. I'd rather have a waitress that came by too often than not often enough. Overall, Belle Isle is probably not a place I would come to sit at the bar and have a few drinks but good enough to come for dinner.... ...and beer muffins.

Anyone who says they like this place for the Beer doesn't have any clue what real beer is all about. Tasted or had a Pint of nearly everything they had on tap that they produced and the one thing I can say, without a doubt, is that it all TASTES THE BLOODY SAME!!! Weak, Thin, Watered Down, 3.2% Swill!!! A Wheat Beer shouldn't have the same taste profile as a Stout and so on... I am an very experienced brewer and cicerone and sadly, they are totally missing the ship. Instead of brewing excellent beers to a 3.2% ABV in order to sell it under Oklahoma's Antiquated Laws, it's more like they brew it to a normal standard of greater than 5% ABV and then water it down (IE brew 15BBL of great beer and add 30BBL of city water to lower the ABV to legal limits). Their Brew Master needs to be shown the door as there is so much more potential there - specially in a city that host's some great brewery's and from a state that has wonderful up and coming beer. They have a great brewhouse and system there - very impressive looking, now if they could just produce an impressive pint of beer. Beer Wise - order a Budweiser or if you're looking to impress - get a can of COOP Native Amber. But ordering a pint of Belle Isle Beer is an exercise in bad beer! Food - OMG it's a huge menu for a Brew Pub with not many brew pub themed items. We were there for a late lunch, had dinner plans elsewhere so didn't want anything too much so we both got salads. I ordered the Spinach Salad and had to ask the server if I had mis-read the menu and if it came with a hot dressing - as nearly every bit of green was wilted and slimy!!! The Chicken on my salad was the exact same bland pre-cooked chicken breast that my spouse had on her salad. If this is any indication of the quality control in that kitchen, I'll be even less likely to return ever again. This is one of those places that if it were on TV's Bar Rescue - I'm not sure that even John Taffer could save... sounds like owners are satisfied just living in the past. How it makes money I haven't a clue! They must have a pretty awesome music selection but from what the bar tender was saying it sure didn't seem all that impressive - cover bands are so 80's!!! No variety which is a shame. A brewpub should have awesome beer, great food, and a variety of music to keep the crowd energized and happening... this place just looks like an over priced, outdated theme bar that hasn't met it's potential for years. Go up the road to the Gastropub for good grub and beer, across the street for good booze and food, or darn near anyplace else for a fun night out with live music and friends!!

I stopped in here for happy hour one day and was very disappointed. I tried their porter first which was pretty good, nothing great but decent (especially for the happy hour price). I then tried the Amber which was a huge mistake. One of the worst beers I've ever had and I couldn't drink more than half of it. The worst thing about this place though was the smoke and the bartenders. The 2 bartenders working the bar I was seated at had zero personality and didn't really seem to look down at the bar at all. The only way I got a second beer was by finally flagging him down (yet he still had plenty of time to drink some coke and hang out with some of the servers).

I used to hang out here a lot. I had a great group of friends who liked to go there a lot, but when I quit smoking, I had to stay out of smoky bars for a while or the temptation was too much. I ended up back here last night, to watch the Thunder game. Here's my rundown. Love: Renovation - much more space, more TVs, more games, and just a better overall feeling. Plus, the new bathrooms (inside the restaurant rather than having to go out into the main building) are outstanding. Honestly, when you are in these new bathrooms, you're like, "whoa, have I had too much to drink because this cannot be Belle Isle" - you think you blacked out and woke up at the Classen Curve. When I think about those old bathrooms, I just get sad. Staff - I love the staff here. Cody has always been great, and the addition of Charms (who has long been one of my favorite servers in the city) makes me want to come back so much more often. Last night she had about 15 tables but we never went long without her checking on us, and I swear that woman has never forgotten a thing. She remembers conversations we had three years ago. Love. Food - Don't call this pub food. The salads, the entrees, oh-my-god the beer muffins; if you're going out for a night of drinking and you want to eat well, I think this is your place. Especially if you need it to not cost a hundred clams. Last night Mr K had the mango salmon, and I had the petite chicken tender salad, and we added a beer muffin. Add five beers between us, and the tab only came to $45. Don't love but not a dealbreaker: Smoke - I'm not complaining. Just pointing it out. If you go to a smoking bar, it is going to be, well, smoky. This is a point of fact. Trivia - I just don't like this particular trivia. I think someone else used to do it? We were there to watch the game, and so were a bunch of other people. But trivia must go on it seems, and to overcompensate for the game and fans being loud, the PA was turned up super loud. When the trivia host was talking, you really could not have a conversation. It was the same volume in there as when a band is playing. I know some people love trivia night, but I'll take Lost Ogle Trivia at Speakeasy any time over this. I enjoy that trivia; last night I enjoyed the restaurant in spite of the trivia. ((end trivia rant)) All in, a great night out. I'm sure Mr K appreciated a night where circumstances prevented him from having to hear me ramble on! :)

We stopped in for dinner as we were tired and did not want to drive far We should have driven farther. The room was smoky from the smoking area upstairs. We were seated promptly and our waiter was there. We ordered drinks and an appetizer (nachos). The appetizer came quickly enough and was pretty good. After that, it went downhill. The entrees were uniformly bad, delivered slowly, and were not exactly what we ordered. The waiters were slow and dropped stuff all over the restaurant, even though it was only half full. The manager did comp some of our food, but it was not enough to make me want to come back. I would say the food quality was comparable to a Denny's... Did seem like a good place to watch a game, but seemed sort of like a combo of a family place and a sports bar...

This is an awesome place for families in the downstairs restaurant and then for the bar scene upstairs. Upstairs there are 2 bars one of which allows smoking. And downstairs has a bar as well as a dining area that is very kid friendly. Our bartenders went above and beyond to explain the different styles of brews to my friends and I. He also searched high and low for the sweatshirt I wanted in my size. Of course they didn't have it which was just my luck. But he did take the one off display for me. I didn't eat dinner just ordered Queso and chips. Best Queso ever. :-) of course they had an awesome IPA and Amber. Will definitely be back to this brewery.

My wife and I have been coming here for over a couple years now and the food is okay, but the service just gets worse and worse every time we go. After having another rude waitress we will not be going back.

This brewery is unassuming from the outside - in the middle of a business park tucked in the corner of a larger building. Once you walk in you realize just how big it is. The back half of the bar/restaurant allows smoking and unfortunately that scent permeates the whole space. Being from Boston where smoking in restaurants isn't allowed it was a bit of a wake up call. I thought the beers tasted pretty good, but I only had the lighter lagers and wheat beers. The food was actually pretty good. They have a standard pub fare menu, but the burger was delicious and so were the fried pickles.

I actually go here quite a lot. It's one of my favorite places. The Theta burger is my favorite. I only go for meals, so I've never hung out in the bar upstairs.

This was a good place for getting together with a group after an activity, but that's about it for me. It's fairly loud inside and if you're looking for anything other than a decently wide selection of beer you're better off going somewhere else. My group ordered a diverse selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and drinks. There was nothing special about the selection as it tasted like food you could get at any bar. I did enjoy the entertainment they had going on including a shuffle board table, bingo (it was a Tuesday bingo thing), and they have live music some nights too. But I should have known better about this place when my husband told me what happened when he went... The waiter poured him a Guinness out of a pitcher causing him to have a glass of warm foam. I'm not sure if that was the fault of a poorly trained or waiter or a poorly managed bar, (I guess it has to be both) but I sincerely hope it was just a one-time mistake... All of this to say: I would probably return I'm with a group that refuses to agree on a location, but it's definitely not a top choice for me.

I have been coming to Belle Isle for what seems like forever. It is a great place to catch a game or just relax and chill. There are two distinct levels of this restaurant and brewery. The bottom houses the restaurant which is a bit more family friendly and the upstairs is strictly a bar area replete with flat screen TVs. Years ago this was strictly a downstairs operation. Then they added the second level and finally it underwent a nice renovation probably back in 2009 I believe. They really need to have the same renovation done to the downstairs as it is starting to look very dated and the downstairs bathrooms compared to the nicely renovated ones upstairs are miniscule and seemingly filthy. If you've ever looked at the menu and thought it was vaguely familiar to another local chain, say The Interurban - well, you would be correct. Apparently, the owner of Belle Isle is good friends with one of the guys who started the Interurban so therefore you see quite a few similarities on the menu like the Theta Burger, the spinach salad, the same nachos, steaks with similar Interurban names and those chalky dry beer biscuits - they basically cloned the original Interubran menu. And that is not necessarily a bad thing. Oh Interurban why did you move from your original Norman location in the train depot? Right Normanites, with me? Conveniently located at 50 Penn Place it is a great place to land after a trip to Full Circle or anywhere else in the area for that matter. You can order from the full menu upstairs so unless you want to stay away from the smoke - yeah they still allow unfettered smoking unfortunately - you don't have to go downstairs. Although it is a bit quieter downstairs. It seems like I've been here for a few St. Patty's Days in a row, I'm not sure why as I don't particularly celebrate St. Patty's Day but we've always seemed to end up here. I've also once went to a hideous Spanish language Meetup group earlier this year that met at Full Circle. And I hate to toot my own horn but it was awful and I thought that we were going to have Spanish conversation not attempting to teach people with no previous knowledge of Spanish the basics...so I ended up going out to use the "restroom" only to end up by myself upstairs on a slow Wednesday night where after a few pints of liquid courage found myself talking to a girl from Mexico no less in Spanish so I guess I really did find a Spanish Language Meetup Club, just not the one advertised. Thanks Belle Isle Brewery! I would come back more often were it not for the smoke! I'm finding I'm less tolerant of smoke these days.

Two of us went to the brewery on an off hour. Our server knew nothing about which beers the brewery had on tap that day. When she listed the beers, she did not mention any India Pale Ales, however, the table list had two IPAs on it. When we asked about IPAs, she went to ask the bartender about them, which was fine. She came back to say that there was an IPA on tap. I asked which one (there were two on the table list). And she said, "an IPA." We both ordered the mystery IPA, which tasted like an APA. We also both ordered a pizza. The size was huge - definitely worth the price. However, the pizzas were so full of cheese (if you could travel back in time and tell my 13 year-old self that too much cheese is a real thing that can happen, I would have been shocked) that the cheese hid the other tastes and made the pizza hard to eat. We don't need to go back.

Best place to see live music hands down. Great wait staff! Especially Heather, she is the best waitresses they have, no matter how busy she is, your drink never runs dry. When you go try to sit in her section, you won't be disappointed.

Belle Isle is a GREAT place to watch a game! Tv's everywhere, lots of seats, HUGE bar area, Belle Isle has 2 floors, botto floor for dining, top floor for bar area. I have only been on the upper portion of the establishment and I have found it to be ample for what i was designed for. There are 2 bars, 1 for what I believe the "non smoking" side & the other for more the smoking side, there are HUGE pool tables in the back, a shuffle board, and other cool part is it is of course part brewery, so you can see the kettles in a clear window that are used in the brew making process, they also have these cool jug type things they sell with their logo on them The only thing this place is missing is a dart board and it would be the PERFECT bar scene area. Also the food is pretty damn good for bar food, I have had a Brautwurst basket which consisted of 2 brats & french fries all for around $7'ish! Also their deserts are pretty dang good, I had a brownie/ice cream desert here that was very good. Other cool thing... they have Bingo on Tues, bar trivia on wed's , and have live bands playing on the weekends so it's definetly a cool place to come to!

Belle isle is a pretty good place for a beer and a meal. The crowd is all over over the place. It seems to attract groups of all ages and types. The food is not bad. I had the BBQ pizza and scarfed it down. The mozzarella they use is very good and they are not shy about throwing it on. That was a big plus. The house brews are all good. I am a big fan of the Irish Stout... Might as well try them all, eh? The waitress that took care of us was as sweet as they come. She was very attentive and happy to help. I like good service...

3 words: Chicken Tender Salad. Now 1 more word: DELICIOUS. Other words to follow: Great place for a nice lunch break during the work day. Not sure I'd rate this place "babysitter worthy" (parents, you know what I'm talking about right?), but I'm all about heading here for the lunch hour. They are also surprisingly tolerant of toddlers and provide crayons and a coloring menu should you bring one with you.

Located at 50 Penn Place, Belle Isle Brewery has something for everyone. I mean, if you have friends who are picky about what they eat or drink, take 'em here. I've had their Calzone and Salmon fillet. Both were great! This place is a local favorite, too, and serves lunch and dinner with a side of entertainment. Just be forewarned: It can feel like a meat locker in here. No bueno to be shivering to the bone while you're trying to enjoy a meal. But, on a nice day, the patio is open and you can sit outside! As for the brewery part, they create their own handcrafted beer. They now have 'em available for take out. Also cool about this place is that it's two levels: upstairs and downstairs. You can eat in a restaurant-type atmosphere downstairs while enjoying more of a sports bar feel upstairs, where they have daily Happy Hour and live music Tuesday (open mic night), Friday and Saturday.

Belle Isle is a hidden laid-back restaurant/bar located in 50 Penn Place. The first floor is a restaurant area, while the second floor feels more like a local bar. They brew their own beer, which I thought was pretty good. I came here during happy hour with a bunch of coworkers, and the place was not very crowded. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the bartenders/waitresses were really nice. They also have great happy hour specials.. $2 pints and a $3.50 sampler of 5-6 different types of their beers. I didn't really try it, but my coworkers had about 3 each of these. The food was also good.. typical American bar food but a wide selection. Overall, a great place to kick back and hang out with a group of friends.

I go there a lot. It's a great place to meet friends. They are really nice and helpful with service and food. I have only had a few things on the menu that are not spectacular. Otherwise I truly enjoy it all. I have had almost everything.

I've been here a couple of times. On the plus side, beers are generally pretty good, and the food is quality. On the minus side, had the California salad and the raspberry vinaigrette was really bad. Also, it's a pub. If that's what you're looking for, you're set. If it's not...you're not. I personally wouldn't conduct another meeting there (it wasn't my pick in the first place), but I'd definitely knock back a couple or socialize there.

Hard to find, even harder to park! Bar vs. restaurant entrance is confusing. Service was slow--several orders were wrong, salad was way overdressed, etc. But it's a fun place to drink a beer and visit with friends.

Puurrrdy good! I went to Belle Isle Brewery on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't very busy at all which was nice. Our server was attenttive and the food and drinks were good. I had the fish and chips and it was great! I didn't like the beer I originally ordered, but they got me a drink I liked quickly and without any fuss. All in all, I will go back fo sho!

Great food, okay beer, and a chill ambiance. The best item on the menu is consistently the cajun bowtie pasta, but you can't go wrong with anything served with a roll. The rolls are crumbly, dense and heavy, made with beer, and served with honey-butter. Amazing. Other entrees are solid - fantastic artisan-style pizzas, black and crisp on bottom. The fish dishes are good, as are chicken ones. The beer is mediocre - I suppose it's good by Oklahoma microbrew standards, but coming from Denver, I can't really recommend any of the beers. They're all just adequate. The upstairs has recently expanded and includes two bars, and a stage for live music. As a music venue, it's solid - I caught a jazz show on my last visit, and the band was great and the room acoustics good as well.

I like the upper level of Brewery much better than the bottom. The bottom feels like a cheap, college hang out place while the top feels like a nice, grown up place. I've been there a cpl times and had good service but not WOW service. They get the job done but not in an especially friendly way. The food is decent, not great. The best thing I think they offer is half priced appetizers. Truth be told, their appetizers aren't worth paying anymore than half priced. It is a pretty popular place, good for all different types of people, central and easy location and they brew their own beer. I personally don't drink beer so I have no comment about how good it is.

One of a variety of places my group eats at on a Friday evening after happy hour. Wide variety on the menu that is all reasonably priced. Only negative is that the service can be hit-or-miss.

Went to Bell Isle Brewery for the first time today for lunch. It was a work lunch so unfortunately I didn't get to sample their beers that they make in house. I had the Reuben sandwich with onion sticks on the side. The Reuben was good and the onion "sticks" were good...alot like onion strings. Need to work on the Thousand Island dressing though. Overall...good value. I'll go back.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
